The 30th Annual CBPR Golf Classic on Thursday, May 1st, was more than just a day on the greens—it was a powerful reminder of what our CBPR community can achieve together. With laughter, friendly competition, and a strong sense of purpose, we came together to support Hearts Alive Village, a local nonprofit making a real difference for animals in need.
Thanks to the generosity and spirit of our team and supporters, the event raised an outstanding $5,580 for Hearts Alive Village, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping pets in need.
Here's how the contributions added up:
$1,400 was raised through pre-golf fundraising efforts.
$980 was raised through mulligan sales (yes, a little cheating in the name of charity!).
$1,110 came from the wildly popular "Take a Shot With Bob" challenge.
As always, Bob and Molly Hamrick generously matched the total raised, doubling the impact and bringing us to that remarkable $5,580 milestone. A huge thank you to "BoMo" for their continued leadership and support!
We also collected an additional $1,308 in supplies and donations for Hearts Alive Village’s new Spay & Neuter Clinic and Veterinary Forensics Center. This new facility will provide affordable, high-volume spay/neuter services, vaccinations, microchipping, and forensic support for animal protection investigations.
Founded in 2013, Hearts Alive Village is committed to creating a compassionate community where pets are supported both in their current homes and as they transition into new ones. Their Amazon Wish List for the new clinic is still active for those who would like to donate directly.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, played, volunteered, and helped us celebrate the spirit of giving in true CBPR fashion.
