A Conversation With Rob Castro, Coldwell Banker Premier Realty’s New Branch Manager

We are excited to formally introduce Rob Castro, who has joined our leadership team as the new branch manager for the Sahara Campus. Rob will be assuming the role recently vacated by Greg Duffield, who after 10 years, has made the decision to reenter the sales force and ‘retire into real estate’ working side-by-side with his wife as the Duffield Levecci Group! We welcome Rob into this new venture and hope you get the opportunity to get to know him as we have.

“Sahara Superstars can expect Rob’s depth of knowledge, versatility skills, and sincere desire to help others succeed to stir-up the perfect cocktail for their growth and enjoyment!” - Bob Hamrick

Rob became a new licensee with Coldwell Banker Premier Realty in 2003 and rode the wave of the market boom and subsequent crash, adapting and succeeding. He relocated his business to San Diego in 2011, where he was in the top 1% of agents with an average of 40 closings each year. Last November, Rob, his wife Shayne, and their two children returned to the magnificent city of Las Vegas. We sat down with Rob recently to ask him several questions ranging from personal to long-term aspirations for our Sahara Campus. Coldwell Banker Premier Realty

What are three words that best describe you?

Rob Castro

Kindhearted, open, driven.

Coldwell Banker Premier Realty

What were you doing before real estate?

Rob Castro

I worked as an insurance agent before joining Coldwell Banker Premier Realty in 2003. I'm passionate about this industry, and after 18 years, I can't imagine doing anything else.

Coldwell Banker Premier Realty You spent almost a decade in California. Why did your family decide to come back to Las Vegas?

Rob Castro

Las Vegas has a hunger. It dares you to succeed. It's entrepreneurial and encourages you to pursue your goals. It's opportunistic, electrifying, energizing, and passionate. Vegas permeates your veins and will always be my home.

Coldwell Banker Premier Realty

With 18 years in the industry, why did you ultimately decide to come back to Coldwell Banker Premier Realty to a leadership role?

Rob Castro

I've never been able to duplicate the culture I encountered here in my 18 years. There is no other place like CBPR. For years, I've kept in touch with Bob and Molly Hamrick. It's incredible what they've accomplished in the Las Vegas Valley. They are a market leader in our sector, providing agents with the support that no other brokerage can match.

Coldwell Banker Premier Realty

What’s something people might not expect from you?

Rob Castro

I am a huge goofball! I try to laugh and enjoy life as much as possible. Many real estate professionals will experience professional burnout at some time throughout their careers. Finding the correct balance between professional achievement, personal growth, and having fun is essential to sustain career and life fulfillment.

Coldwell Banker Premier Realty

What are you most looking forward to in your new position?

Rob Castro

The most exciting thing to me about this position is to have the opportunity to build relationships with agents, to be a partner on their journey to success.

Coldwell Banker Premier Realty

What are your goals for 2022 and beyond?

Rob Castro

In the years ahead, my goal is to continue to build on CBPR's already solid foundation and increase our agents' capabilities. In my work, I've had both successes and failures, and I'm all about sharing what I've learned. I believe that learning from our own and others' mistakes is what propels us to the next level of achievement. My role is to be a motivator, encouraging and assisting agents in achieving and exceeding their career objectives.

Rob is already having a positive impact at our Sahara Campus, and we look forward to a long and prosperous partnership. For more information on joining our Sahara Campus, fill out our contact form to start a conversation with Vice President of Career Development, Devin Reiss.
