Corey J. Schmutz
Corey J. Schmutz is a partner at JEFFREY BURR and has been with the firm since 2011. Corey practices primarily in the areas of estate and business planning and probate.
Corey graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Following the completion of his undergraduate studies, Corey worked as a Credit Analyst for City National Bank on their commercial real estate lending team.
After spending some time in commercial banking, Corey decided to pursue a career in Law. He earned his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. During law school, Corey had the privilege of completing two judicial externships. The first, for Magistrate Judge Robert J. Johnston in the Federal District Court, District of Nevada and the second, for Probate Commissioner Wesley Yamashita in the Eighth Judicial District Court of Clark County, Nevada. After earning his J.D., Corey attended the University of San Diego, School of Law, where he earned a Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.).
Corey is licensed to practice law in Nevada and California.
J. Burke Williamson
J. Burke Williamson is an attorney with JEFFREY BURR. Burke graduated from Southern Utah University (Magna Cum Laude) in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. He attended William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV, graduating in December of 2021 with his Juris Doctorate. He went on to earn his LL.M. (Masters in Laws of Taxation) from Loyola Law School in December, 2021, graduating with distinction and earned the first Honors Award in Taxation of Exempt Organizations.
Burke externed for the Probate Commissioner, Wesley Yamashita in the Eighth Judicial District Court, State of Nevada and was the President of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society. Prior to attending law school, Burke was a Senior Associate at Goldman Sachs. Burke focuses his practice in the areas of estate planning and trust administration. Burke is licensed to practice law in NV, UT and CA
